Clean Hydrogen with the insights from the RITIFI Webinar

On March 14, the RITIFI project hosted an online event on the future of clean hydrogen, bringing together experts to explore the role of Research and Technology Infrastructures (RIs and TIs) in driving innovation.

The webinar provided a structured discussion on how the integration of RIs and TIs can accelerate hydrogen research and development. The session opened with Nikolaj Zangenberg, Director at the Danish Technological Institute, who highlighted best practices and common barriers in RI-TI collaboration. He addressed key challenges such as accessibility, funding constraints, and safety regulations while showcasing effective strategies to overcome these obstacles.

Building on this discussion, Jonas Okkels Birk, Senior Specialist at the Danish Technological Institute, provided insights into the needs of industrial users engaging with RI-TI services. He emphasized the importance of streamlined access and tailored services to enhance collaboration between industry and research facilities.

The webinar was based on findings from Work Package 2: Strategic analysis of the current integration of the RI-TI landscape, which examined five key areas: Biomedical, Clean Hydrogen, Circular Materials Economy, Superconducting Accelerator and Magnet Technology, and Microelectronics (Semiconductors). The speakers concluded with actionable recommendations to improve RI-TI integration, derived from the Work Package 2 analysis.
