Many major scientific Research Infrastructures (RIs) are based on particle accelerators or superconducting magnets, for instance, the LHC, ESRF, EU-XFEL, ESS, ITER, or W7X. The construction of these state-of-the-art facilities has required the creation of dedicated Technology Infrastructures (TIs) in Europe. These are large-scale technical platforms spanning all the necessary activities of R&D, fabrication, testing, assembly and verification of magnets and particle accelerator components. These TIs are mainly owned by public research laboratories but used in close collaboration with industry and also for the development of innovative applications in advanced sectors such as healthcare and space. They are gathered within the AMICI network, established following the H2020 AMICI project and are part of the Horizon Europe I.FAST project.
